For my Diptych project, it was hard at first to come up with ideas for before and after type of things. A lot of things I thought of I felt were previously used or too typical. I think my first one was my favorite and came out very successfully with my models as Chris and Julianne. The idea of somebody being too close to somebody sick and catching a cold I feel was one of the more creative ones I had. The models acted out their illness very well too!
My second diptych was of Nupur straightening her her. She did a very good job of frizzing up her hair in the first photo and the second photo showed the results a hair straightener can have.
In my last photograph, I used Marlon who was a fantastic model! He was very into the dancing around in a skirt! The idea of this photograph was to show him dancing in the first picture and receiving an award for his excellence in the second. I had some trouble coming up with props for this photograph though. The only trophies I could find of my own had softball players on them. Also, the skirt was the closest thing to a tutu I could find. I figured by putting a boy in the skirt it would make the skirt stand out more and help show that he is a dancer. I think if I were to do this again I would have had Marlon in tights and found something that better resembled a tutu.
In the first dyptich, you can actually tell what’s going on without actually needing an explanation. I like the idea of this specific dyptich. The only thing is, is that it’s a little pixely.
ReplyDeleteIn the second dyptich, I know what’s going on in it, but to me, I think her hair could’ve been either more frizzy, or she could’ve had her hair curly or something. But I understand that it’s hard to do that in a limited amount of time that we had.
The third dyptich is my favorite because it’s just so funny. This is another dyptich where you can tell that Marlon won a trophy from being a dancer. I just feel like the first picture could have been taken at a different angle because to me, his body looks weird.
Other than the small little things, I think Danielle’s dyptichs were successful.
