David Hockney Inspired Collage

Bret

Fireplace
The first photograph is a collage of my brother. He was not very cooperative and he was stubborn while I was taking pictures of him. I chose to take this photographs in my basement where the lighting was very good and I could have a solid background. I took many pictures of him to make sure that i got every aspect of his face.
The second photograph is a collage of the fireplace set-up I have in my backyard. I chose to photograph this because I like the scenery. I originally wanted to take this picture with the fire lit to make it more interesting but my dad said no... I really like the way this came out although some spots are darker or lighter than others and everytime I went to change the lighting it dulled down the photo.

  1. Nicely done. Your exposures are correct. I would only suggest zooming in on your subject a little more, play with macro photography. By the way, your backyard looks like an awesome place to be!

  2. I Like the light balances you used and how it looks like you took a picture of each angle of your brothers face and then put them together, for the second picture , the way there’s light and dark areas made it look better and also made the scenery interesting . The colors in the landscape picture stand out more than the other one and the sky in the backround made it look even better.
